An antique car is basically one that is over 50 years old, by the definition of the Antique Automobile Club of America. This is opposed to the classic branding that refers to vehicles above 20 years of age. On the other hand, vintage cars are those that were built between 1919 and 1930. Since its inception in 1935, the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) has endeavored to preserve and create enjoyment of automotive history of all types that are available. As an antique car club, its aim has been to bring devotees of automobiles together by organizing activities, networking, and depicting automobiles that are in the antique category in their magazines and regular auto-show fares that have since expanded worldwide. Of course, the internet has made it even better to extend the Realms of the club. So, basically all lovers of automobiles can access their details to understand much about them without owning one or even accessing the Antique car clubs nc.
AACA being a huge club has got affiliates that represent different regions so that its activities can be felt effectively on a wider scope. Current active membership Stands at over 58,000 globally thus extending its activities to reach many global corners. The Hornets Nest Region is one of the many regional chapters. Chartered in October 1967, it had no more than 5 members at commencement. This number has steadily grown and currently stands at over 500 in the region of representation. This is commendable and shows how much enthusiasm has grown around antique automobiles in the region. Many more people will hopefully be coming in in the ensuing years as the realms and numbers of antique automobiles grow with time and expanded interest.
The major aim of AACA is the restoration of classic and Antique car clubs nc to factory quality for shows that are organized and members and the public come to compete in different locations. It has also unceasingly supported the AACA museum and library, including its research center where the concern is in the preservation and restoration of antique and classic automobiles.
To support these interests obviously takes strong board membership; men and women with a solid interest in automobiles and have been members of AACA, and especially the local chapter for a while. The stability and growth of the Hornets Nest Region chapter have continuously rested on astute leadership has farther been reinforced by yearly changes of board directors to sustain high leadership energies bringing in fresh ideas that can only enhance and sustain the growth of the Chapter in line with the mission and vision of AACA. The successes are seen in annual auto-fares which continue to be successful and larger every time.
